Ultrasound Services
Bethany Animal Hospital provides ultrasound services.
Dr. Heather Brown and Arraia, CVT, are our designated trained ultrasound staff. They have undergone professional training to perform ultrasounds for a variety of care needs.
Ultrasound can be used to study the size, shape, and internal structure of a pet’s organs to provide crucial information for care plans. Ultrasound uses may include:
- Organ Scans for Abnormalities: Ultrasounds can detect a variety of abnormalities that may be difficult to assess with other diagnostic tools, including masses, free fluid, and bladder stones.
- Reproductive Health: Ultrasound can be used to confirm pregnancy in pets.
- Emergency Services: Abdominal and thoracic scans can provide critical insights in emergency situations like respiratory distress or sudden collapse.
While Bethany Animal Hospital does not currently perform cardiac ultrasounds, we utilize the services of SVS Mobile Imaging. SVS Mobile Imaging schedules routine visits to our hospital to allow our patients to receive imaging from the comfort of our hospital.
