Coral Ware

Certified Veterinary Technician
& Team Lead

Coral Ware has been with Bethany Animal Hospital since August of 2006. She began her career in the animal care field in 2004. Throughout her time at Bethany she has not only gained valuable skills and knowledge but has also been certified as a Fear Free Professional.

Coral says that she tries each day to bring her charisma and keen sense of humor to her work and that she believes the staff she works with is amazing.

Her pets include an energetic dog named Zarianna and five cats: Cat, Fader, Boss, Twitch and Gremlin. Coral’s interests include gardening, anything DIY, homesteading and anything with her husband Kevin and her family and friends.

Jodie Jeske

Certified Veterinary Technician and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner

Jodie Jeskie has been with Bethany Animal Hospital since March of 2009, but began her career in the animal care field in 2007. She is licensed in the state of Illinois and earned her degree at Joliet Junior College. Jodie is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation practitioner certified through The University of Tennessee in 2014. Her patient and calm demeanor are keys to providing excellent care through our Canine Rehabilitation Center.

She says that client education is an important aspect of her work. She loves working with the Rehab patients and finds it rewarding to see them recover or improve from whatever condition was ailing them.

Jodie loves spending time with Fern, the love of her life. She is also a big fan of mystery books and has a great sense of humor. 

Tara Burgess

Certified Veterinary Technician 

Tara Burgess joined our team in June 2015. Her responsibilities include drawing blood, taking X-Rays, and being a surgery technician. Her favorite on-the-job duty is performing dental cleanings.

“Every day is different, so you never know what is going to walk in the door,” she says. “I get to learn something new almost every day.”

Tara earned her Associate's degree in Applied Science from Rockford Career College in 2012. She previously worked as a CVT at the Banfield Pet Hospital in Aurora.

She is the proud pet parent of Josie the Dachshund/ Chihuahua Mix, Ginny and Neville the Hedgehogs, and Millie the Guinea Pig. In her free time she enjoys crafting, knitting/crocheting, watching Netflix, and reading.

Michelle Rood

Veterinary Assistant & Nutritional Counselor

Michelle Rood joined Bethany Animal Hospital in February 2012 after six years as a zookeeper. As a veterinary assistant, Michelle's responsibilities include client education, filling prescriptions, and taking x-rays. She is also a Certified Nutrition Counselor and is in charge of Bethany Animal Hospital's weight loss program.

At work, she appreciates learning something new every day and meeting new people. Michelle has a bachelor's degree in biology.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and fishing with her husband Joe. She also likes reading and watching movies. Michelle and Joe recently welcomed their son, Henry, and share their home with three pets: Molly, a dachshund, Aspen, a lab mix, and Lily, a cat.

Emily Szoke

Veterinary Assistant

Emily Szoke joined Bethany Animal Hospital in June 2014. Her responsibilities include assisting our veterinarians during examinations, performing blood draws, communicating with our clients, and assisting in surgery. Emily received her veterinary assistant certification at Kishwaukee Community College and is planning to become a certified veterinary technician.

“Everyone at the hospital is super nice and helpful,” she says. “You can tell that we really care for all of our patients and clients.”
In her free time Emily loves spending time with her family and her dog, Ellie. She also enjoys reading and spending time outside.

Monica Silva

Certified Veterinary Technician

Monica received her associates degree in applied science and veterinary technology from Fox College in 2014. After graduating, she went on to earn her license to work in Illinois. Since then, she's worked in Chicago and Oklahoma before joining the team at Bethany Small Animal Hospital.
Monica says, "working with animals is my passion and a dream come true." She and her husband have a pit bull mix named Butters and an Australian shepherd mix named Luna. Outside of work, Monica enjoys reading, spending time with her family, going to the dog park, dancing and watching Disney movies.

Jackie Wyatt

Veterinary Assistant

Jackie has been working at Bethany Animal Hospital since the fall of 2015. Her main responsibilities are caring for hospitalized patients and assisting doctors during different examinations and procedures. Jackie’s greatest attributes are her caring personality and her dedication to her work, and says that her favorite part of the job is “helping as many animals as we can.” Jackie says that every day is a learning lesson, and that she loves the caring people she works with.
At home, Jackie has two pets: a 4-year-old Chihuahua named Chloe and a 10-year-old cat named Bear. Outside of work, Jackie loves spending time with her husband, Tyler, and her family.

Caitlyn Becker

Veterinary Technician Assistant

Caitlyn Becker joined Bethany Animal Hospital in September of 2016. She enjoys assisting the Doctors and Co-workers in providing quality care to the patients. As a student of Rockford Career College, she is working towards being a certified Veterinary Technician. She feels that her schooling keeps her current on new and changing ideas and helps her to enjoy all aspects of her job.
"I like working at Bethany Animal Hospital specifically because the technicians are excellent at maintaining a low-stress environment for the patients. The friendly staff has a close, family type of connection and it makes for a great work environment."
Caitlyn loves to spend time with her nine animals. She has three dogs, one rabbit, one hedgehog, one tortoise, one leopard gecko, one fish and one Cockatiel. She also enjoys hiking, camping, traveling or anything that puts her in touch with nature.

Emily Roelfsema

Veterinary Assistant

Emily Roelfsema joined Bethany Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant in May 2017. She earned her Certificate for Veterinary Assistant and plans on furthering her education to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She loves working with animals which is apparent by her longtime volunteer service at TAILS Humane Society.

Emily says, "I love how big of a hospital Bethany is and how many different species of animals we get to see!"

In Emily's free time, she enjoys baking, finding new nature trails to hike, doing crafts and decorating her house. She also spends lots of time with her sweet dog named Kona.

Chelsi Langmeier

Veterinary Assistant

Chelsi Langmeier joined our team in May of 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. Her responsibilities include taking X-Rays, assisting in surgeries, and communicating with our clients. Her caring personality makes her a great contribution to the hospital, and her favorite part of working at Bethany is “being able to help our patients and educate our clients, and working with amazing doctors!”
Chelsi earned her Associate's degree in Applied Science from Globe University in Madison, Wisconsin. She is planning on taking her national boards to become a Certified Veterinary Technician at the beginning of 2018. Chelsi previously worked as an Assistant Barn Manager at an Equine Facility and grew up on a dairy and beef farm, making her very comfortable with all kinds of animals. She is the proud pet parent of Rosco the horse, Babe the horse, Rondo the 3 year old lab, and Zoey the 4 year old Heeler- X.
In her free, she enjoys going to truck and tractor pulls, bowhunting and training and showing horses.

Lauren Riebel

Veterinary Assistant & Client Care Representative

Lauren Riebel joined our team in April of 2018 as both a Veterinary Assistant and Client Care Representative. Her positive attitude and caring personality make her a great asset to the Bethany team! Lauren has over two years experience in the animal care field and volunteers at the Pet Project Animal Shelter in her spare time.

Lauren says " The veterinary field is my passion and what i wish to spend the rest of my life doing. Working at Bethany has opened a door of possibilities and continued growth, there is always an opportunity to learn something new!"

Lauren earned her Associate's degree in Science from Kishwaukee College and is planning on continuing her education to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.  

She is the proud pet mom of Olivia the cat who is three years old. In her free time, Lauren loves playing softball and volleyball, camping, canoeing, and spending time with her friends, family and boyfriend.

Jessie Wilson

Veterinary Assistant & Client Care Representative

Jessie has been working at Bethany Animal Hospital since the spring of 2018. Her main responsibilities include caring for patients and assisting doctors during different examinations and procedures. Jessie is both friendly and compassionate, she says that her favorite part of the job is “helping animals live a happy life alongside their family.” 

When asked why she likes working at Bethany she says "My family always received great care for our pets here when i was growing up. Now I can help others receive that same great care for their pets!" 

Jessie earned her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Musical Theater, and completed a Veterinary Assistant Course at Kishwaukee College. 

Jessie has two pets, a lab mix named Wednedsay, and a cat named Biblo. When shes's not at work, Jessie loves baking, cooking, learning new languages and spending time with her boyfriend.
