Dr. Melissa Corson joined Bethany Animal Hospital in February of 2016.
Dr. Corson attended Becker College, graduating with a Bachelor in Science in 2002. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University. Dr. Corson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, ISVMA and AAFP. Her professional interests include feline medicine, exotic and small mammal medicine, bird medicine, abdominal ultrasound and dentistry.
A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Corson knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of five. "I started mucking stalls and caring for horses when I was 14 years old," she says. "I worked in two pet stores in high school and as soon as I was old enough I became a licensed veterinary technician."
"Being an advocate for pets and educating clients is the most rewarding part of being a veterinarian," says Dr. Corson. "It's amazing how far our profession has come and how our preventative medicine has allowed pets to live longer and healthier lives."
Dr. Corson has three children, Emma Grace, Zachary and Adeline. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending her daughter's soccer games, reading and watching movies.
